History

Souled Out began running events at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre in early 2004, bringing the Church from Aberdeenshire and beyond together to worship.  Since then thousands of people, of all ages and backgrounds, have joined us on the Souled Out journey.

In September 2005, Souled Out ran its first ENCOUNTER event.  This weekend-long event allowed space for more worship and teaching, increased times of fellowship and exciting kids and youth activities.  Originally organised in association with the North East Christian Festival (previously ‘OM Day’), the ENCOUNTER event has always had a more explicit outward, missional focus, and our latest 2007 event was no different.

Early 2006 saw the introduction of the Souled Out Praise Night programme, taking the key elements of Souled Out on the road to a local context.  In addition to these Praise Nights, the Souled Out Band has accepted many invitations to lead worship at different events over the years.

The band’s music has also made it into hundreds more homes and cars through the Souled Out CD ministry.  Having already released three CD recordings of earlier events, in 2006 Souled Out launched the Doxano Music label, releasing its first official album, “Glorify Your Name”.

Then at ENCOUNTER07 we launched our second full release, 'Take My Life'.  This album was produced and released with the utmost care and professionalism and definitely takes Doxano Music to the next level.  You can hear samples and buy it online here in this website.
